Glossary

The words Marketing uses, in the sense the app uses them. Words shared with the rest of GreenMind mean the same here as in the other GreenMind apps. Where Marketing uses one in a narrower way, the entry says so.

A

account

Your GreenMind account: one sign-in for every GreenMind game and app. Its name, email, password and two-step verification are managed on greenmindmedia.com. A network's account that a brand posts through is a connection.

admin

An org's admins reach every brand it owns and manage its people, teams and roles. On a brand, the Admin role also publishes, goes live, spends on ads, connects accounts and manages people. See People and roles.

approval

A person with the right role checks something before it goes further: an editor sends a post for approval, and an admin approves it. A file in the library is approved before it can go in a post. Live, and a pipeline posting by itself, also need GreenMind's own approval for the brand.

B

band

Ensemblis's project: one band's songs, shows, rig and people, owned by an org. A brand can link a band to market it. See Brands and kits.

brand

What you market from: a game, a band, anything with an audience. Everything it says, where and when, and what happened afterwards, is kept in it.

budget

Two things share the word. A pipeline can have a budget in credits for a run and for a month. An org can set a budget a month for its top-ups. See Credits.

C

calendar

Everything a brand has coming up, a month or a week at a time: its posts and whatever else its areas and kits put there, such as streams and releases.

campaign

Posts, links, streams and ads belong to a campaign, so its numbers can be read together. Its slug is the campaign name every tracked link of it carries.

channel

A place a post can go: an account on a network, or a place posted to by hand, such as a Steam announcement. See Networks.

clip

A short piece cut from a stream's recording, kept in the library.

collection

A public collection is what your sites show and what a press kit is made from: only approved files, never a spoiler, never before an embargo ends.

connection

An account or service a brand works through, such as a YouTube channel or a mailbox. Each is marked GreenMind's app, Your own or Finished in its app, and shows Working or Needs reconnecting.

credits

Prepaid credits pay for anything that costs GreenMind money each time it is used, such as AI, some posting, processing media and streaming. One credit is one US cent, and the credits belong to the org. See Credits.

D

day zero

The day a plan template's dates count from: launch day for a launch, release day for a release, the first show for a tour.

draft

A post that has not yet been sent for approval. Also what AI and pipelines leave for a person to use or not.

dry run

A try of a pipeline that shows what each step would make of an item and what it would cost, without running anything or spending a credit.

E

editor

A role on a brand that can draft posts, plans, campaigns and tasks, and send a post for approval.

F

figure

One number a brand's sources report, a day at a time, such as wishlist adds or a post's views. They are drawn on Numbers.

G

goal

A target on one of a brand's numbers, set in a plan.

I

idea

A suggestion for a post, drawn from what the team made and what the brand has posted. It is a draft: nothing goes out without a person.

import

A file of figures, exported from a place with no way to read them automatically, which you bring in on Numbers.

invitation

A link that gives a role in one place to whoever accepts it while signed in. It can be used once and expires after 14 days.

K

key

A game key: a Steam key, a Google Play promo code or an App Store offer code, kept sealed and given to one person, who sees it once. It is not a server key, which is a game server's credential.

kit

What a linked game or band adds to a brand: extra tools, templates, links and numbers. See Brands and kits.

L

ledger

The list of every change to an org's credits, newest first, on its Billing page.

library

A brand's media: every screenshot, trailer, logo and piece of key art, with where it came from and its rights. Approved files can go in posts, public collections and the stores' bundles.

A page of the links a brand chooses to show, in an order you set, which can be switched on and off.

live

Streaming to a network from Marketing, through GreenMind's relay, with its chat in one place. A brand needs GreenMind's approval first.

M

milestone

A dated point in a plan, such as the day the Coming Soon page is live.

N

numbers

Every figure a brand's sources report, a day at a time, with everything the brand did drawn on the same days.

O

org

Who owns what you make across GreenMind: games in the console, universes in OnlyLore, bands in Ensemblis. A studio is an org named for the studio. Brands belong to an org.

outbox

The last step of a pipeline: where what it made goes, and how far it may go without a person.

owner

The role of whoever made a brand. It holds everything on the brand and is never changed or removed there. Linking a game or band to a brand needs an owner.

P

pipeline

A recipe that turns what a brand streams or does into clips and posts. It leaves drafts for a person unless it is allowed to go further.

plan

A marketing plan: phases, milestones with dates, goals on the brand's numbers and the tasks that get there. It is not the org's plan, which sets what an org may use.

post

What a brand says, written once. Each channel gets its own version, prefilled and cut to its length.

posting by itself

A pipeline posting with nobody's click. It needs GreenMind's approval for the brand, and until then its posts are sent for approval. See Posting by itself.

press kit

A public page made from a brand's public collections.

preview

A run of a pipeline on one item, for real. It spends credits and only ever leaves drafts.

project

One game or product, owned by an org. In Ensemblis a band is a project. A brand is linked to the projects it markets.

R

release page

One short address for a release, listing it on each streaming service, each through a tracked link of its own.

role

What somebody may do, and where. On a brand the built-in roles are Owner, Admin, Editor, Commenter and Viewer, and an org can make roles of its own.

run

One go of a pipeline, from its sources to its outbox.

S

spending limit

A monthly limit inside an org, so one project or one feature cannot spend everything. Set on the org's Billing page.

store bundle

Every picture each store asks for, at its exact size. The stores have no upload API for their pages' art, so you download each one and upload it in the store's own console.

T

task

A thing to do. You write them, a plan makes them, and a channel posted to by hand leaves one for each post.

team

A group of an org's people. A role given to a team is held by everybody in it, for as long as they are in it.

template

A starting point. A plan template lays out phases, milestones and tasks from a day zero. A pipeline template is a recipe to start a pipeline from.

A short link of the brand's own that sends people on to where you meant, so each post, poster and video is counted on its own. Clicks are counted without cookies, and nothing about the person clicking is kept.

V

viewer

A role on a brand that sees the brand and its numbers.

voice guide

How a brand writes: its tone, words it uses and avoids, how it signs off. Drafts follow it, written by people or by AI.
