Using Marketing on a phone

Marketing works in a phone's browser, and two jobs are built for a phone: finishing a post in a network's own app, and approving what is waiting. You can add Marketing to your home screen so it opens like an app, and turn on notifications so you are told when something is ready.

Add it to your home screen

Open Marketing in your phone's browser and sign in. Then use the browser's Share menu or its main menu to add the site to your home screen. Open it from the new icon and it runs full screen, without the browser's address bar, like an app.

On an iPhone this step comes first. iPhones offer notifications only to a site that was opened from the home screen.

Notifications

On some pages you will see a switch, Notify me on this device. It is on the page for finishing a post, and on Waiting for approval. Turning it on tells you when something is ready, even with no page open. Off, you are told in your GreenMind inbox only.

Open a page that has the switch.
Turn it on and allow notifications when the phone asks.

Each device has its own switch, so turn it on for each phone and computer you want to be told on.

What the page says instead of the switch tells you why:

To be notified on this phone, add this site to your Home Screen from the Share menu, open it from there, and turn notifications on. Do that, as above.
Notifications are blocked for this site. Allow them in your browser's site settings.
This browser cannot notify you while the site is closed. Try another browser.

If you do not see the switch or a message, notifications are not available on this site.

You are told when a post is ready to finish (Ready to finish on a network), when a post you finished was not found on the account (Where did it go out on a network), and about some changes to your pipelines, such as a suggested change or one that stopped posting by itself. Tapping the message opens the page it is about.

Finish a post in the network's own app

A post marked Finish it in the app on a phone waits for you at the time it is due. Open the message and the page walks you through it: Share to the network's app, Copy the text, post it there, then Mark it published with the post's address, or wait for Marketing to find it. Approve what is waiting

Waiting for approval lists what the brand's pipelines have stopped for. Open it from the link on the brand's Pipelines page that says how many are waiting.

For a post, set Send at if you want a different time and press Approve. The post can be edited in place first.
For an item such as a clip, press Let through.
To refuse, write a reason under Why not (optional) and press Reject.
To decide several at once, tick them, or press Choose all, then use the Approve button that counts how many you chose.

Show switches between Waiting and Decided. You can approve only if your role may publish posts. Otherwise you can read the list. See Pipelines.

Moving around

On a narrow screen the sidebar sits behind an Open menu button. Everything in Marketing is there, in the same groups as on a computer.

If it does not work

No share sheet on the finish page. Your browser cannot hand files to another app. The page offers each file to save and a link to open the network instead.
No notification arrives. Check the switch is on for this device, and that the site is allowed to notify you in your phone's settings.
