Pipeline templates

A template is a ready-made pipeline to start from. You can change anything in it before you save, and afterwards.

To use one, open Pipelines, choose New pipeline, and press Use this on the template you want. A pipeline made from a template starts Off. A template that needs something your brand does not have is listed with Use this switched off, and it says why.

What they have in common

  • All but one come with an outbox set to Drafts somebody approves and schedules, so an Editor can start them. The exception is Clips to YouTube, one a day.
  • Most leave Channels empty on the Outbox step. Choose them there, or the draft arrives with no channel and somebody chooses on the post.
  • Write the post and Cut a clip use credits each time they run. Dry run a pipeline to see the estimate. See Credits.
  • Steps are named here as the editor names them, and the pipeline editor says what each does.

For streams

All but the last of these need streams on the brand. Live needs GreenMind's approval for each brand.

Clips to YouTube, one a day

When a stream ends, its suggested moments and "Clip that" presses become widescreen clips with a title, a description and a thumbnail. One a day is proposed for 10:30, for a person to approve.

  • Needs: streams, a connected YouTube channel, and somebody who may publish and spend to save it, as it proposes posts and comes with a budget.
  • Steps: Suggested moments (Most from one stream 5) → Cut a clip (Vertical version None, Captions on, In the library Kept as it is made) → Write the post (Length Long) → Outbox
  • Outbox: Channels YouTube, Which video of a clip The original shape, Posts proposed at a time, for approval, a budget of 10 credits a run and 300 a month, and Timing at a set time of 10:30.
  • Change this first: its Time zone comes as America/Regina. Set yours, or 10:30 will not be your 10:30.

Clip that to Shorts

Each "Clip that" pressed during a stream becomes a captioned vertical clip with its post written, ready to approve. See the worked example.

  • Needs: streams.
  • Steps: Stream markers ("Clip that") → Cut a clip (Vertical version The scene the stream marked, else the middle, Captions on, In the library Kept as it is made) → Write the post (Length Short) → Not too similar → Outbox

Best moments

When a stream ends, its best suggested moments become clips. A person picks the ones worth a post, which is then written.

  • Needs: streams, and somebody who may publish posts to answer in the review queue.
  • Steps: Suggested moments (Most from one stream 10) → Keep the best (How many to keep 3) → Cut a clip (Vertical version The scene the stream marked, else the middle, Captions on, In the library A draft somebody keeps) → Ask a person → Write the post (Length Short) → Outbox

Moments from what was said

For streams too small for chat to say much: when a stream ends, AI hears it and picks the moments worth a clip. A person picks the ones worth a post, which is then written.

  • Needs: streams, and somebody who may publish posts to answer in the review queue.
  • Steps: A stream ended → Moments from what was said (Most from one stream 5) → Cut a clip (Vertical version The scene the stream marked, else the middle, Captions on, In the library A draft somebody keeps) → Ask a person → Write the post (Length Short) → Outbox

Each clip viewers made of the brand's Twitch channel that people watched, a couple of days on, gets a short post linking to it. The video stays on Twitch.

  • Needs: a connected Twitch channel. It does not need Live.
  • Steps: Twitch clips (Takes Clips viewers made, Days old first 2, Fewest views 25) → Write the post (Length Short) → Add a link → Outbox

For what the team makes

Something the team made reads the brand's activity: its intake, GitHub, Linear and the projects it markets. See Ideas. To bring work in from GitHub or Linear, see Connect GitHub and Connect Linear. Anything not public, or still under embargo, never enters a run.

Something shipped to a post

Each feature the team ships gets a post written about it, with its link, unless it is too like one posted lately.

  • Needs: activity coming in.
  • Steps: Something the team made (Only these kinds Feature) → Write the post (Length Medium) → Not too similar → Add a link → Outbox

Weekly devlog

Gathers what the team made over the week and writes it up as one longer post on Fridays, when there are at least three things. See the worked example.

  • Needs: activity coming in.
  • Steps: Something the team made → Gather (At least 3, When a batch closes once a week, Friday, 15:00 UTC until you set a time zone) → Write the post (Length Long) → Outbox

Accepted ideas to posts

Each idea accepted on the Ideas page gets its post written in the brand's voice, instead of a bare draft. While it is on, accepting an idea makes no draft of its own.

  • Needs: nothing beyond the Ideas page.
  • Steps: An idea accepted → Write the post (Length Medium) → Outbox

For what you already have

Keep a channel alive

Once a week, a picture or video from a collection the brand keeps for it, the one posted least lately, with a post written about it.

  • Needs: a collection of approved pictures or videos. Put its id in Collection on Pick from a collection: the field says where to find it. Until then there is nothing to post.
  • Steps: On a schedule (once a week, Tuesday, 17:00 UTC until you change them) → Pick from a collection → Write the post (Length Short) → Not too similar → Outbox

Blog post to teasers

When a post goes live on the brand's blog, writes a short teaser with its link for Bluesky and X. See the worked example.

  • Needs: the brand's Blog, and connected Bluesky and X accounts for the drafts to reach them.
  • Steps: A blog post went live → Write the post (Length Short) → Add a link → Not too similar → Outbox (Channels Bluesky and X)

A milestone reached

When one of the brand's numbers passes a line it sets, writes a post about it and leaves it as a draft.

  • Needs: a number on Numbers. Set From, Number, Line and Called on A number crossed a line: the template only has the step's defaults, which are clicks on your links.
  • Steps: A number crossed a line → Write the post (Length Short) → Outbox
  • It tells you once, on crossing. A number already over the line when the pipeline starts does not count as crossing it.

For a brand linked to a game

Steam sale to a post

When the game goes on sale or a Steam festival comes round, writes a post about it and leaves it as a draft. See the worked example, which also adds the store link: this template's own steps have no Add a link.

  • Needs: a brand linked to a game. See Brands and kits. Discounts come from the Steam toolkit.
  • Steps: Steam happenings (Hears of A discount, A Steam festival, A seasonal sale) → Write the post (Length Short) → Outbox

For a brand linked to a band

New song to a post

When a song is out, writes a post about it and leaves it as a draft.

  • Needs: a brand linked to a band. See Brands and kits.
  • Steps: A song out (Takes New songs) → Write the post (Length Medium) → Not too similar → Outbox

Song clips from a show

A clip of each song when a show's stream ends, waiting in the library as a draft. Covers are skipped.

You will not find this one under Start from. Every brand marketing a band is given it, already turned on, and the page says it runs by itself as the default the brand was given. Pause it or put it away if you do not want it, and it stays that way.

  • Steps: Songs of a show (Covers Skip them: their rights are not the band's) → Cut a clip (Vertical version The scene the stream marked, else the middle, Captions off, In the library A draft somebody keeps) → Outbox (Where it goes The library, for somebody to keep)

Not open to everybody yet

Feature shipped to a short

When a Game Designer feature ships with a video, this cuts it vertical, writes the post and leaves it as a draft for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Game Designer is not open to everybody yet, so this template is listed for every brand, with Use this switched off for most of them.

  • Needs: a brand linked to a Game Designer game.
  • Steps: Shipped in Game Designer (Takes Features shipped) → Its picture or video (Which Its video) → Make it vertical → Write the post (Length Short) → Outbox (Channels YouTube, Instagram and TikTok)
